Frequently asked questions.

What are the benefits of telehealth? What can I expect sessions to look like?

Having sessions virtually means that you get to attend your sessions in a space that is comfortable for you and provides all the same benefits. You simply log in to our sessions using a secure platform just as you would for any other virtual meeting. As long as you have privacy and a stable internet connection, there should be no problems.

What is the cost and length of sessions?

Full fee for a 50 minute session is $150. However, you getting the help you need is important and if we are a good fit I do have some sliding scale spots. Please reach out for more information.

Do you take any insurance?

I am not paneled with any insurance companies at this time and can provide a superbill (a receipt) for you to submit to your insurance for possible reimbursement. Keep in mind that there is no guarantee that your insurance will reimburse for my services.

Additionally, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your mental health care will cost. Under the law, health care providers must provide patients who aren’t using insurance, an estimate of the expected health care costs. You will be provided with a Good Faith Estimate as part of the intake packet.

For questions or more information about your rights for a Good Faith Estimate, please visit cms.gov/nosurprises.

How long will I be in therapy?

Therapy is a collaborative process, and the length of our time together is a decision largely made by you. We will work to tailor a treatment plan for you. Treatment often starts with weekly appointments and then moves to bi-weekly and even monthly if appropriate.

Where can I live and still be able to work with you?

I am currently licensed in Washington, Colorado, and Texas. If you live in one of those states, call and set up a consultation.

How do I get started?

Call or email me to set up a free consultation to see if we are a good fit. During this call I will get a bit more information from you and you will get ask any questions you may have. From there I will send you the intake paperwork prior to our first session. If we decide we are not a good fit, I will do my best to provide you with a list of referrals.
